Gourmet Italian Cuisine & Pizzeria

We stopped by Gourmet per recommendation from family. Great spot for Italian American style menu items. Staff is very friendly and hospitable from the moment we walked in the door. Ordered calamari and nacho appetizers. Calamari could've been a bit more crispy and nachos were a good choice for sharing with everyone. Ordered chicken di vodka, sandwiches, burgers, chicken and broccoli Alfredo, chicken Rosa. Food was delicious and almost every one took leftovers home as the portion sizes were huge. Each table gets complimentary focaccia bread, garlic knots and butter. Service was a tad slow as we waited a while for our food. However once we got our food, we enjoyed the meal.

I've never had shrimp this fresh and delicious in my life and I'm 62 years old. I didn't know they could be this incredible. I was welcomed right away by the nicest lady bartender. Sometimes I eat at a restaurant so amazing I want to take it back to Kansas City with me. All around me I kept hearing people claiming how delicious their meal was. Had a perfect vodka gimlet, garlic shrimp and the tiramisu. Absolutely phenomenal. I'm going to try and squeeze in another visit before I leave the area.

Boy oh boy!!! I was completely shocked at the quality of the food and service. Its so beautiful on the inside. The house wine is superb; we had 2 glasses. It was a beautiful red wine. Our food was amazing and presented well. The only item I didnt like was the pumpkin cheesecake. The pumpkin wasn't flavored enough to not taste like it came out of a can. But the rest was so tasty, I can't take a star off!

Friday lunch was perfect! Food was delicious and well prepared. Our server, Cleo B, was attentive and courteous while serving several other tables in the room. All together an enjoyable meal!

Pros: I'm pretty impressed with this place. I went with my Wife, son, and Mother in law for a special occasion. We called ahead for reservations, and they called about an hour before to check if we are coming. Our table was ready right away. You can tell they make sure the experience is nice there. The place was very clean, dining area and bathroom. We were greeted promptly and asked about service from management walking around. They have a good kids menu selection and are very accommodating to your needs for special requests. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and asked for the wine sauce to be more like a glaze and thicker. They not only did it right , but gave me extra. Loved it ! My wife had the crusted chicken parmesan, and liked it. While my son had the kids pizza , they were able to make it a white pizza for him. That was important for us. Kids are picky. The bread basket was fresh and tasty. I like how the tables were spaced appropriately, your not close to other tables . The receptionist was nice asking if you wanted to be close or far from the Jazz band playing that night. We choose far. It was still enough to hear them but have a conversation. I had coffee that tasted freshly made and my wife had a flour less chocolate cake. It was very good. I liked how the outside is decorated with lights. They are in a good location and not far from the express way. They do have a TV area for sports etc and somerhing like a bar area as well. Nice they have a area without TVs . Cons: the building does need a little repairs here and there, nothing serious, as well as the parking lot . The prices are on the high end , about $25 on average for a dinner meal. So expected a larger bill then average. I had the crab soup. It was ok , could be little more creamer. My Mother in law has a cannoli for dessert. She wasn't happy with it , since it tastes like taramisu instead of a vanilla flavor. So make sure you ask if that matters to you. They were understanding and did take it off the bill. All and all, I was impressed. Mostly with he service and the quality of the dinner I had. I would recommend going there if in the area or close enough. As long as you don't mind paying more that you would expect at your local diner. I'm Beef and that's where I was.

They have delicious food at this restaurant. I never had anything that tasted bad. I love dining in and take out. The staff there are very nice, respectful, and always attentive. I enjoy how the staff makes sure you truly feel welcomed. The Gourmet is always very clean. This is one of the places I visit with family. This place is a hidden treasure in Galloway. For good food and a nice experience at a good price stop in and check them out. Thanks Gourmet for always giving us first class service and great food.

My sisters and I went here today and when I say excellent that’s an understatement. The service was awesome and the food was chef’s kiss! Everyone was so pleasant and the portions were enormous. I had the seafood pasta and they allowed me to change the sauce from a red sauce to a vodka sauce. All four of us had a different entree and we really enjoyed our food and the freshness oh and the garlic bread basket was delicious as well. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
